„To live Nature“ is a wonderful feeling for many of us and the exercise in fresh mountain air relaxes and is healthy. You can hike on 350 km of marked paths through blooming Alpine landscapes or conquer a summit close by together with a mountain guide. Enjoy the specialities made by dairy-maids on the Alpine huts of Gastein – they are open from June until autumn. Those who want an easy ascent get to the most beautiful viewpoints with the Gastein mountain railway quickly and conveniently. By bicycle or on a mountain bike you can choose easy or challenging routes over rough and smooth. Those who have ever teed off at the 18-hole-course in Gastein know that this is one of the most beautiful rounds in Austria. How about a tennis match or archery on the adventure course in the Angertal, or maybe hang-gliding over the glorious mountains followed by a romantic carriage-ride to the nature reserve at the end of the valley!
Enjoy the inviting ambience of the pedestrian zone, relax at one of the daily concerts or lovely performances in the new Alpenarena. Most important for all your ventures is, though, take pleasure and have fun at the most beautiful days of the year: your summer holidays with us!
When the summer draws to a close there comes the time for the farmers’ harvest. Tradition and old customs provide lively insights into the rural life in the Gastein valley.
